Presenters should use the "JULY 1999 RETREAT GUIDELINES" for their topics. Only four of these topics can have a video of no more than 60 minutes. Those that are using a video to compliment their lecture must let Lee Warren know as soon as possible.
| Those choosing a topic MUST submit the first draft outline by November 1, 1998 with a preliminary list of possible reference sources. |
| The second outline is due February 1, 1999 with a more detailed bibliography and a definite video title provided you will have one. If you miss these two dates, your topic will be given to another person. |
| The final draft must be submitted by June 1, 1999, NO EXCEPTIONS. Receiving the final outline by June will allow a final review. |
| Write a 3-5 page paper on your topic by July 15, 1999 |
| The bibliography must contain a minimum of at least six books and three Internet sites on the subject. |
| Only thorough research will be accepted. |
Those not used to doing research must have a mentor to oversee the project.
SUGGESTIONS: A wise way to begin researching these topics would be to spend 20 hours a month on the subject which is about 5 hours a week. Anyone having questions about their research should e-mail Lee Warren at plim@plim.org or plimel@earthlink.net.
