(*NOTE: The initial research for some of these lectures has already been covered in past "PLIM REPORTs.")

Presenters should use the "JULY 1999 RETREAT GUIDELINES" for their topics. Only four of these topics can have a video of no more than 60 minutes. Those that are using a video to compliment their lecture must let Lee Warren know as soon as possible.

bullet Those choosing a topic MUST submit the first draft outline by November 1, 1998 with a preliminary list of possible reference sources.
bullet The second outline is due February 1, 1999 with a more detailed bibliography and a definite video title provided you will have one. If you miss these two dates, your topic will be given to another person.
bullet The final draft must be submitted by June 1, 1999, NO EXCEPTIONS. Receiving the final outline by June will allow a final review.
bullet Write a 3-5 page paper on your topic by July 15, 1999
bullet The bibliography must contain a minimum of at least six books and three Internet sites on the subject.
bullet Only thorough research will be accepted.

Those not used to doing research must have a mentor to oversee the project.

SUGGESTIONS: A wise way to begin researching these topics would be to spend 20 hours a month on the subject which is about 5 hours a week. Anyone having questions about their research should e-mail Lee Warren at or .
