When contacting THE SHACK, please state that you are booking a room with the PLIM GROUP that is holding a retreat July 28-31, 2011 . A BLOCK OF ROOMS IS ON RESERVE FOR THE PLIM GROUP'S RETREAT . ALL ROOMS RESERVED ON A FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED BASIS. Call 30-45 days before the Retreat to reconfirm your room or your reservation will be cancelled.

Deposit will not be refunded unless cancellation is made 10 days prior to reservation date. The Shack will send a reservation confirmation upon request. No pets allowed.

*** In addition, there is a Sunday Brunch offered at THE SHACK, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Sunday Brunch is not included with your room. If you choose to have brunch, it will cost you 10.00 per person.

All room rates are based on two person (Adults) Occupancy. If you have more than 2 persons to a room then you will be charged:
$30.00 additional per each adult, per day on Friday and Saturday;
$20.00 additional per each adult, per day on Thursday and Sunday

$10.00 additional per each child, per day on Thursday and Sunday

Absolutely no cooking in any of the rooms in the main SHACK house. However, there are some separate lodges available (called "The Grainery" and " The Livery"), some of which have kitchens in the units. If interested in this type of accommodation, inquire with Marv Deur, the rates are generally higher for these accomodations.
**It is highly recommended that you confirm your room rates when you book it and/or verify them again PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL At The Shack. ** All room rates are based on two person (Adults) Occupancy. If you have more than 2 persons to a room then you will be charged additional fees.
ANY DISPUTES WITH ROOM RATES OR CHARGES WILL DEFER TO THE RATES GIVEN TO YOU BY THE SHACK AT THE TIME YOU ARE PAYING YOUR FINAL BILL.

Important General Information about Accommodations:
Maid service is provided with your room.
THE SHACK HAS SOME POLICIES WHICH MUST BE ADHERED TO:
1. No alcoholic beverages on the grounds. (Alcoholic beverages in your own room only!).
2. Quiet time is in effect from 10:30 PM each night till the next morning. (This means drastic reduction of noise levels in the halls, recreation rooms (quiet talking only), and also in your own room).

General Information regarding Dress: We recommend that you dress casually for the entire retreat including the Spiritual sessions. The SHACK is located next to a small lake. The lake has paddle boats and and some members have been fishing in the lake. It is surrounded by a wooded area with trails. The rooms are very nice, but you will be in a semi-rustic, semi-wooded area. For that reason, the customary suits and ties that men are used to wearing to conventions are not required, nor do women have to dress in the customary "convention" mode. All things decent and in order as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
Restaurants: Some of you attending the retreat may elect not to have dinner meals at THE SHACK or may want to supplement your SHACK provided meals by eating outside of THE SHACK. There are not a many restaurants in Jugville and White Cloud since they are very small towns. However, there are a few in White Cloud that serve lunch and dinner meals comparable to THE SHACK. Most attendees have eaten in the local restaurants and been happy with them. Also, if you are willing to drive 5 to 10 miles away from White Cloud there are more restaurant choices in some of the neighboring towns.
Alternate Accommodations: Some of you attending the retreat may elect not to stay at THE SHACK, or if the SHACK gets filled and you want a recommendation for another place to stay, other attendees have stayed at the OAKRIDGE MOTEL in Newaygo, Michigan, right off highway M37, (about a 15-20 minute drive from THE SHACK) or the The Harrington Inn in Freemont.
The Oakridge Motel is not fancy, but the rooms are clean and inexpensive. Approximate Room rates (as of August 98) range from: $48.00 per night for one person, $56.00 per night for two persons, Rooms with kitchens range from $65.00 to $69.00. The phone number for the OAKRIDGE MOTEL is (231) 652 -1288. There is an Oakridge restaurant that serves pretty good food right across the Parking Lot from the motel.
