Modern civilizations tend to believe that they are superior to previous cultures and that these past, great civilizations were primitive. We think many of technological wonders were revealed only to us and not to any prior cultures. However, archeological findings in the 20th century have shown this is not the case. Take for instance electricity, which is the source of all power in any modern society.
In 1938, Dr. Wilhelm Konig, an Austrian archaeologist, found a clay pot with a copper cylinder which He recognized as a crude battery in the basement of the museum according to an article entitled The Modern Past (© 1996 http://www.paradigm-sys.com/ae/library.html) by Lamuir G. Janku. Now many ancient batteries have been unearthed in Iraq and are in the Baghdad museum. They all have been dated to a period between 248 B.C.- 226 A.D. All of these batteries appear to show evidence of corrosion by some acid agent. Mr. Jankus article points out that many scholars believe that ancient civilizations used crushed wine grapes as the substance capable of conducting electricity. In modern science the substance is called an electrolyte.
Finding ancient metal artifacts, such as copper vases covered with silver, led many experts to believe that these ancient civilizations discovered some form of an electroplating process. Now electroplating is defined as the act of coating something with metal (such as silver over copper) by means of an electric current according to the Encyclopedia Britannica (15th edition Vol. 6; p. 691 Macropaedia). Much of our modern jewelry is electroplated.
Objects found in diggings, in Egypt, also appear to show traces of an electroplating process. This means that these civilizations had some form of electricity from batteries to perform this process or they had another process that mimicked electroplating. Now we all may wonder how was this technology revealed to them since modern electroplating was not started until the 1800 when A. Volta discovered the battery. If the ancient Babylonians and Egyptians had the battery first, than A. Volta did not discover, but rediscovered it.
Expanding Our View of the Universe-Hubble

The Hubble telescope, that has orbited the earth since April 1990 when the crew of the space shuttle Discovery set its course, has drastically enlarged (by at least a million times) mankinds view of the universe. The Hubble telescope has transformed dots of light as viewed from the most powerful earth bound telescopes into enormous galaxies.
There have been other inventions and discoveries in mankinds history that have expanded mans view of the world and the universe. For example, Columbus discovery of the New Worldthe American continentsaltered mankinds view of the earth. He proved it is round, not flat as previously believed. The invention of the telescope confirmed not only the sun was the center of the solar system and not the earth, as the Roman Catholic Church dogmatically insisted, but revealed new planets and changed perception of old planets. The invention of the microscope revealed the invisible world of microorganisms. The Hubble telescope gave us a greater view of the universe.
It was known that galaxies containing 100 billions of stars were the fundamental structures of the universe. However, no one understood the vast number of galaxies and the immense distances they were from each other. This boggles the mind. It is in these galaxy structures that stars are born, live, and die. Hubble photos released from NASA revealed the vastness of the universe and expanded mankinds reality by at least a factor of four. The Hubble telescope has revealed numerous black holes, which are the graves for dying stars that have collapsed. The birth and death of stars are very violent reactions and tremendous amounts of energy are released.
Science does not acknowledge that the death, burial, and resurrection of stars and galaxies reflect the universal principle of the death, burial and resurrection of Yahshua (Jesus) and his souls. Simply put, as new stars are being born in heaven, there is also a new soul being born into a spiritual knowledge of the Messiah within. He is the DayStar arising from the black hole of ignorance within mankinds soul or mind of (2 Pet. 1:19-20; 2 Cor. 4:6). The vastness of the physical universe reflects the vastness of the spiritual world. Now as the knowledge of the physical heaven increases, likewise, mankinds knowledge of Spirit must also increase because the physical mirrors the Spirit.
