Introduction

Many people consider the topic of conspiracies, especially as applied to respectable enterprises, such as banking, journalism, government, and education, something ridiculous, improbable, and naive. Frequently advocates of secret plots are perceived to be a bit insane (i.e., conspiracy nuts) and their theories produce smirks or sarcasm from the listeners. Even before Mel Gibson starred in a 1996 Hollywood movie called "Conspiracy," with images of a wild, wide-eyed maniac blowing up buildings and eluding his mind control manipulators, the word "conspiracy" had become a subject for jokes and derision.

The one case in which the word conspiracy can be used without cynicism is in reference to the Mafia, men who conspire to make money through crime, which we will discuss later in this article. However, most people find it difficult to believe that citizens of great wealth, the best education, and the most cultured backgrounds could possibly be plotting against American citizens and the world for power, money, and control.

Gangster.tif (28841 bytes)

Ralph Epperson in his book the Unseen Hand thinks that this disbelief is the primary element that allows conspirators to succeed. "In other words, the conspirators are successful because the moral citizen cannot accept the conclusion that other individuals would actually wish to create incredibly destructive acts against their fellow citizens ... (p. 10)." Americans apparently forget that the founding fathers conspired against England to form this country and succeeded. This was not an accident, but a plan.

John Carpenter summed up the reluctance of people to accept the truth in a powerful fight scene from his so-called science fiction movie called "They Live."

"This fist fight took place between two friends as one man tried to force his buddy to put on a specially-made pair of sunglasses. When these special sunglasses are worn anyone can see the world as it really is, rather than as it appears to be. So great was this one mans resistance to the truth, that he fought with every ounce of strength to keep from putting the sunglasses on. So, too, it is with the American public today. The ostriches prefer their heads buried in the sand, and will fight kick, bite, scratch, and maybe even kill, to keep from knowing the truth. Slaves grow accustomed to their chains. They dont want to see or know what is really going on. The 4th of July means firecrackers and an extra day off, not freedom (The Power of Total Perspective, R.E. McMaster, Jr., p. 12-13).

This two-part article will explore whether the possibility of conspiracies occurring today is fact or fiction.

What two views of history exist?

Researchers of history believe there are only two ways events can be viewed. Either events are planned or occur by accident. Most historians espouse an "accidental view of history" where historical events occur by accident, for no apparent reasons. The "accidental view of history" in which rulers are powerless to intervene is what most of us were taught in school and is the official version of history written by the establishment.

The second school of thought has been named the "conspiratorial or revisionist view of history." It states that historical events occur by design for reasons that are not generally made known to the public. Our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman, stated: "The only secret in the world is the history you dont know. (Empower the People, by Tony Brown, p. 76)." Gary Allen in his book None Dare Call It Conspiracy states: "Those who believe that major world events result from planning are laughed at for believing in the conspiracy theory of history (p. 11)."

Who believes an invisible power manipulates events?

With conspiracies holding such a ridiculed place in our culture, you may be surprised at some of the people who believe that an unseen hand behind the scene directs events in every segment of our society.

Politics - Our 32th President, Franklin D. Roosevelt stated the following. "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, it was planned that way." (Unseen Hand, by Ralph Epperson, p. 7)."

President Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President, said: "Some of the biggest men in the U.S. in the fields of commerce and manufacturing know that there is a power so organized, so subtle, so complete, so pervasive that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." (Americas Secret Establishment, by Anthony Sutton, p. 117).

Media - John Swinton, the former Chief of Staff of the New York Times, gave the following toast before the New York Press Club at his retirement party in 1953. "There is no such thing as an independent press in America... You know this and l know it. Not a man among you dares to utter his honest opinion. & It is the duty of a New York journalist to lie, to distort to revile, to toady at the feet of Mammon and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread, or what amounts to the same thing, his salary. We are the tools and the vassals of the rich behind the scenes. & Our time, our talents, our lives, our capacities are all the property of these men - we are intellectual prostitutes. " (As quoted by T. St. John Gaffney in Breaking the Silence, page 4.) (The Money Masters: How International Bankers Gained Control of America, video script, by Bill Still, p. 6)

Finances - The founding fathers knew the evils of a privately-owned central bank and feared bankers accumulation of wealth and power. Thomas Jefferson put it this way: "I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies Already they have raised up a money aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." (The Money Masters: How International Bankers Gained Control of America, video script, by Bill Still, p. 5)

In 1923, Representative Charles A. Lindbergh, a Republican from Minnesota, the father of famed aviator, "Lucky" Lindy, stated the following. "The financial system .... has, been turned over to the Federal Reserve Board. That board administers the finance system by authority of ... a purely profiteering group. The system is private, conducted for the sole purpose of obtaining the greatest possible profits from the use of other peoples money." (The Money Masters: How International Bankers Gained Control of America, video script, by Bill Still, p. 4)

War - In the 1954 House of Representatives Special Committee to Investigate Tax Exempt Foundations chaired by Rep. Carroll Reece, a review of the records on the first years of the Endowment after 1910, and the years from 1917 to 1920 revealed the following. "[In the minutes, about 1911] the trustees raised a question. And they discussed the question and the question was specific, Is there any means known to man more effective than war, assuming you wish to alter the life of an entire people? And they discussed this and at the end of a year they came to the conclusion that there was no more effective means to that end known to man. So, they raised question number two, and the question was, How do we involve the United States in a war?" (The Tax-Exempt Foundations, by Williams H. McIlhany, II, in How the World Really Works by Alan B. Jones, p. 60-61)

What is the intent of this article?

"Conspiracy: Fact or Fiction" will focus on the plan behind the events that drew America into World War I (the sinking of the Luisitania), World War II (the bombing of Pearl Harbor), and the Vietnam War (the Tonkin Gulf incident). This article will also briefly mention the Hegelian philosophy of thesis, antithesis, synthesis or the conflict of opposites to bring about change. In addition this article will reveal the existence of conspiracies in the Bible.

Since one article cannot possibly cover all the aspects of alleged conspiracies in the different segments of our society and throughout history, this article will begin a series of articles focusing on one conspiracy at a time.

We hope to stir up the readers pure mind to consider the possibility that events may be planned by a small number of men for their personal agenda. Gary Allen states: "If we were merely dealing with the law of averages, half of the events affecting our nations well-being should be good for America. If we were dealing with mere incompetence, our leaders would occasionally make a mistake in our favor (None Dare Call It Conspiracy, p. 10)." [A video by the same name of this article outlines conspiracies through history. For more information see realityzone.com].

What is a conspiracy?

In reviewing the definition of conspiracy, one may wonder how a word so serious has become laughable. According to Websters New World Dictionary conspiracy means: "a planning and acting together secretly, esp. for an unlawful or harmful purpose, such as murder or treason" (©1995 Zane Publishing, Inc. ©1994, 1991, 1988 Simon & Schuster, Inc.).

When we think of the acts of a small group of people meeting secretly to plan an illegal course of action, the Mafia whose plots hurt many innocent people immediately comes to mind. However, before Joseph Valachis confessions in the 1960s exposed the Costa Nostra, neither the justice system nor the media knew the proper name of their organization.

Gary Allen was amazed at "how little we knew about this group, despite the fact that it was a century old and had been operating in many countries with a self-perpetuating clique of leaders (None Dare Call It Conspiracy, p. 27)." Mr. Allen wonders whether it is possible for a conspiracy in other arenas to exist, waiting for someone to expose them.

Who revealed the plan of the global elite?

In 1966, Carroll Quigley, a professor a Georgetown University and mentor of our current president, Bill Clinton, wrote a most important public disclosure about a small group of wealthy men who control events behind the scenes in a book called Tragedy and Hope. Dr. Quigley revealed that a group of global bankers are secretly moving nations toward a New World Order, a centralized government without individual freedom.

W. Cleon Skousen who wrote an anti-elitist review of Tragedy and Hope described the global power structure in his book The Naked Capitalist. "He (Dr. Quigley) points out that during the past two centuries when the people of the world were gradually winning their political freedom from the dynastic monarchies, the major banking families of Europe and America were actually reversing the trend by setting up new dynasties of political control through the formation of international financial combines. Dr. Quigley points out that these banking dynasties had learned that all governments must have sources of revenue from which to borrow in times of emergency. They had also learned that by providing such funds from their own private resources, they could make both kings and democratic leaders tremendously subservient to their will. It had proven to be a most effective means of controlling political appointments and deciding political issues (p. 7)."

Mr. Skousen realized that the Apostle John had predicted "the human race would be subjected to a ruthless, world-wide conglomorate of dictatorial authority which would attempt to make all men subservient to it or be killed (Rev. 13:15-16)." Professor Quigley agrees with the goals of the global elite and only objects to their insistence of preserving secrecy.

What is the Iron Mountain Report?

Another exposure from a 15-man "Special Study Group" commissioned by an unknown government agency was publicized a year after Dr. Quigley revealed the existence and goal of the global elite. The Study Group reported its findings on the possibility and desirability of peace. Their conclusions, that war served a great societal function and was more preferable to controlling society than peace, became public in 1967.

Pawns.tif (49837 bytes)

One of the members of the Study Group who wished to remain anonymous asked Mr. Leonard Lewin to publish the report although the group had agreed to keep its contents secret. The main question that the two and a half years of research sought to answer was the following. "Presuming a world with no war, war preparations, or armaments, were there not certain societal functions fulfilled in the past by warfare for which substitute activities would have to be found in a world of Peace? Thus, what functions did war fulfill? If no viable substitutes could be found to fulfill them, was peace even desirable, in terms of social stability? (How the World Really Works, by Alan Jones, Chapter 7, Report from Iron Mountain, p. 136)"

The social stability referred to in the last sentence did not include the individual rights of men, but those systems that keep the establishment in power. The report stated that "compared to war, no combination of techniques for controlling employment, production, and consumption has yet been tested that can remotely compare to it in effectiveness... (p. 140)."

Alan Jones commented in his book: "The prime political function of warfare, as understood by the Study Group, is thus seen to be to preserve poverty in the society as an aid to maintaining the elite class in control. ... What social stability really means is "keeping the Lows in poverty and the Highs in power, forever. (p. 141)"

The study had to understand why people who would most likely be killed so readily accepted war. The Study Group found that people pull together to defend their country when a external enemy threatens them. The Report thought it would be very difficult to find a substitute for war that wastes vast amounts of resources and that the public would so readily accept.

War.tif (116640 bytes)

The Report ends by concluding: "the permanent possibility of war is the foundation for stable government (p. 145)." People accept political authority during war. War allows class distinctions to exist unquestioned and ensures "the subordination of the citizen to the state (p. 145)."

The members of the Study Group recommended that an Agency with unlimited funds be created to study the problem further. Until a plan for permanent peace is discovered that can serve as a substitute to war, that Agency should "shore up the present war system so that it can continue to be efficiently used... (p. 147)."

How does the global elite operate?

A small group of wealthy men use a modified version of a process called Hegelian logic that poses two opposing forces (thesis and antithesis) against one another to form a synthesis or new creation. Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831) was a German philosopher who created a theory about the development of Spirit or the Absolute and the mind as professor of philosophy at Heidelberg and Berlin. Hegel observed that change occurred through the conflict of opposites, which resulted in a third new force that is a synthesis of the two. Anthony Sutton believes that the synthesis the Establishment wants to achieve is a New World Order and they promote artificial conflicts to move nations toward a central form of government.

Most Americans have never heard of Hegelian philosophy because it is diametrically opposed to the democratic principles taught in England, France and America. He states that Marx, the most conservative, and Hitler, the most revolutionary, were influenced by Hegels concept (Americas Secret Establishment, p. 118).

Dr. Sutton describes the Hegelian dialectic process as "the notion that conflict creates history" in his book Americas Secret Establishment (p. 115). He extends that idea one step further to theorize "that controlled conflict can create a predetermined history." Dr. Sutton believes that the establishment in the U.S., through groups such as the Trilateral Commission, uses managed conflict to bring about an outcome favorable to the elite. "Furthermore, there is no question that decisions of war and peace are made by a few in the elite and not by the many in the voting process through a political referendum (p. 118)." In the Hegelian view "all historical events emerge from a conflict between opposing forces (p. 119)." When the thesis is opposed by the antithesis, the "final outcome will be neither thesis nor antithesis, but a synthesis of the two forces in conflict (p, 119)." In Karl Marxs work Das Kapital, he posed a conflict between the two opposites of capitalism and communism. In the Hegelian system this clash would bring about a new society, one moving closer to the desired goal of the elite who funded both communism and Nazism against the U.S. which we will discuss later in Part Two of this paper.

Have a few men always had more information than the masses?

The fact that knowledge is power and a small body of men has historically had access to more information than the masses is a certainty. The pyramid structure of knowledge with a few at the top knowing a lot and the many at the base knowing next to nothing can be seen in most cultures. Shaman, priests, and wise men always knew more than the uninitiated.

This concept is exemplified in the Wilderness of Sinai when Elohim revealed the Law to Israel (Exo. 24th Chapter). Seventy-four men saw His form, but only one man, Moses, actually went into the cloud to be given the Law, the tabernacle pattern, and the priests officiation therein. The majority of Israel at the base of the mountain, heard a voice, but saw no form (Exo. 19:10-18; Deut. 4:10-12).

Whether this pyramid structure is good or bad depends on the motives of the men at the top. In this instance, under the Law of Moses it appears that Elohim wanted the information centralized and the people obedient to His words as revealed through Moses and the prophets.

Under the New Covenant, however, access to the Holy Spirit is no longer centralized, but freely given to every man by grace through faith (Heb. 12:1; Eph. 2:8-9; John 14:26).

Is the Bible a book of symbolism and principles or literal history?

Before we begin to document the conspiracies found in the scriptures, we must understand that the Bible is a book of symbolism and principles that must be applied universally. The Apostle John saw a conspiracy symbolically depicted when he saw the dragon waiting to devour the womans child (Rev. 12:4). Evil devouring innocence is a universal principle that has come down through the ages. It is not a book to be read literally, narrowly focusing on the Hebrew people. If the Bible is believed to be the only true book in a literal sense, then other religious books appear spurious and the Hebrews appear to be the most important people of their era. This view would appear to show that Elohim had a respect of people, contrary to his own commandments (Acts. 10:34). Instead of being viewed as Yahwehs special people (Deut. 7:6; 14:2) as they were under the Law of Moses, Hebrews must be seen as an example of positive and negative principles found in all men (I Cor. 10:6).

Does the Bible reveal religious apostasy?

Primarily, the scriptures detail the corruption within the Hebrew religious leaders and the pagan religious practices of their Gentile rulers. The Bible does not provide information on the corruption within the political or economic Gentile systems. Jeremiah, for example, condemned the Jewish priests who perverted the Law of Yahweh and put their personal greed and pride before serving their creator.

Although he does not denounce the Gentile bankers for cheating the people of their day, such avarice and dishonesty must have existed in that stratum of society because negative principles contaminate all man-made systems. The Bible details the sins of Israel against Yahweh without referring specifically to the wickedness of the political, financial, and educational systems of the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Medes, Persians, Grecians, and Romans who ruled over the Hebrews. Just because the Bible does not state that such conditions existed in Gentile nations, does not mean they are not there. With this understood, let us move to the topic of conspiracies.

Are there Biblical conspiracies?

I will mention three conspiracies found in the Law, the Prophets, and the Fulfillment (New Testament, Isa. 8:20). The first conspiracy occurred within a family out of jealousy. Joseph had a gift of dreaming and interpreting dreams which his brothers despised. Joseph was also Jacobs favorite son by his most beloved wife Rachel and Jacob showed his love for Joseph by making him a coat of many colors (Gen. 37:3). "And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more (Gen 37:4-5)." Josephs dreams were interpreted to mean that his family would some time in the future bow down to him. The elder brothers thought Joseph was arrogant for suggesting such an event, not realizing that the source of Josephs dreams was divine, but his father observed his saying.

When Jacob sent Joseph to his brothers to report their activities, his brothers became irate. "And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him (Gen 37:18)." Ruben, the eldest brother, persuaded them not to kill Joseph, but gain a profit by selling him into slavery and pretending that a wild animal had killed him. Their conspiracy went according to Yahwehs will though, since Joseph ended up in an Egyptian prison, interpreted some dreams, and was discovered by Pharaoh, who gave him great power over Egypt. Josephs power enabled him to feed his family during the seven years of famine throughtout the land (Gen. 45:1-7).

Did men conspire against Daniel?

When King Darius of Media preferred Daniel above his other presidents and princes because of "an excellent spirit" found in him, jealousy caused the princes of the realm to conspire against Daniel. "... the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his Elohim (God, Dan 6:3-5)."

These jealous men contrived a way for the king to condemn anyone who prayed to any other than the King. They found Daniel praying to Elohim and brought him before the king to be punished. Reluctantly, King Darius threw Daniel in the lions den, praying inwardly that he would be delivered. When the King found Daniel alive the next day, he threw the conspirators and their families in the pit and gave praise to Yahweh (Dan. 6:24).

Who conspired against the Messiah?

The Scribes and Pharisees with Judas plotted against the Messiah. The Jewish religious leaders felt threatened by the revolutionary doctrine the Messiah preached. Since the miracles He performed had made Him famous (John 11:47-53), they decided to sneak around and pay Judas to kill him. "Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people (Matt. 26:3-5; Luke 22:1-6)."

"Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude (Luke 22:1-6)."

Part Two of this article will cover conspiracies that brought America into three wars.
