History of the Retreats
These retreats began in 1989 when *Rose Marie Askin (b. ?– d. 2001), of the Ipsilanti, Michigan branch of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research invited some friends to the Duke's Happy Holiday Resort. Many came from Michigan and Illinois to this informal affair. There were no topics for the various lectures given. Some visitors viewed and discussed a controversial movie, "Last Temptation of Christ" that had been released in 1988 about a doubtful and very human Jesus Christ. Also Ms. Askin handed out a transcript by Dr. Kinley's entitled, "Do You Know the Way to Chicago?"
The Downtown Chicago branch of IDMR began hosting retreats each year thereafter. Two were held in the spring and fall of 1990 and one in each of the following years. In 1993 PLIM, Inc. began to sponsor the retreats.
Over the years the retreats have changed, presumably for the better. For several years each retreat dealt with one topic or theme that was generally a continuation of a subject that had been discussed throughout the year in Friday workshops. Those who could not attend the workshops regularly during the year used the retreat as a time to catch up. In each retreat session various speakers discussed particular aspects or presented different manifestations of the same subject.
In 1995, the one subject retreat theme changed. Numerous topics were incorporated into a single retreat theme of "The Journey," which was the theme for seven years, 1995-2001. The journey’s universal motif of a calling, challenges, and deliverance allowed us to cover a myriad of subjects. In 2002, after the 911 Attack on America, the umbrella topic changed to the “New World Order,” which was the theme for four years, 2002-2005. In 2006, the theme changed to "Melchisedec Sovereign Stewardship." Now that we have been on our journey, and identified the evil plan of the New World Order, we should be perfecting our sovereign stewardship after the order of Melchisedec which established the New Covenant (Heb. 7:10-11). The list below summarizes the content of each retreat.

In May of 1990, the topic was "The Structure and Operation of the Soul and Mind and the Holy Spirit or Law of the Spirit's Operation Therein." We also covered the "Materialization and Transmutation of Spirit." Toward the end of the retreat some of the retreat attendees discovered the Shack near the general vicinity of the Duke's Happy Holiday Resort. The owner of the Shack gave us a tour of his bread and breakfast inn and immediately, we decided to return to his facility in the fall. |

In October of 1990, the topic was "Mental Poisoning." A month after the retreat in November of 1990, nine Downtown Chicago class members took a cable television class at Chicago Access Corporation and began producing the "Power Latent in Man" television show. |

In October of 1991, the topic was "Perception." We covered the principle of perceiving the creation and the manifestations of Yahweh-Elohim, and Universal Spirit Law therein through the physical senses, the mental faculties and the reality revealed by the Holy Spirit. We also shot six shows for the PLIM television show. Two 1-hour shows were on out-of-body experiences, two were on the seat of the soul, two were excerpts from the students examples on perception. Three of these shows aired. |

In 1992, the topic was "As a Man Thinketh, So is He." Also that year PLIM, Inc. was incorporated and began publishing the "PLIM REPORT" bi-monthly magazine. |

In 1993, the topic was "Intuition." Man's mind was defined and ways to become conscious or develop intuition were explored. This was the first retreat hosted by PLIM, Inc. |

In 1994, the topic was "Yah Consciousness, Part 1." Consciousness was defined and examined on an instinctual, intellectual, and spiritual level. Dr. Lee Warren attended the retreat in July after being released June 25 from a 17-day stay in an intensive care unit where he almost died of Streptococcus Sepsis. |

Starting in 1995, the retreat’s theme "The Journey, Part 1" allowed more than one topic to be introduced. We examined the components of the journey and the works of several notable researchers. We viewed and discussed principles contained in the video tapes of Joseph Chilton Pearce ("Pregnancy, Birth, and Bonding," "Awakening Intelligence," " Adolescence & Beyond"), R.A. Laing ("Eros, Love and Lies"), and Joseph Campbell ("The Hero"). Some attendees volunteered to research an array of topics for the next retreat. Topics were assigned, a guideline was given, and these students presented topics at the 1996 retreat. |

In 1996, the retreat's theme was "The Journey, Part 2." The topics were presented according to the structure of the journey. The "Hero's Journey" introduced this universal principle. "The Still Small Voice” illustrated the call to adventure. Challenges, tests, and trials were illustrated in "Spontaneous Healing" and “Love in Male-Female Relationships.” Finally, “Awakening Intelligence” captured the principle of resurrection. At the end of the retreat more volunteers took assignments that were presented at the 1997 retreat. During 1996, PLIM, Inc. began publishing articles on the Internet. |

In 1997, many experiences that are valid under the New Covenant and directly tied to the journey of life were covered with the retreat's theme "The Inner Journey, Part 3." Angels, sacred places, Kundalini, altered states of consciousness, near-death and out-of-body experiences, hope, and prophecy are esoteric secrets that reveal Spirit operating in human lives. These excellent topics opened up new possibilities of our potential with Spirit (Mark 9:23). They remind us that we can complete our spiritual journey only if we are led by the Spirit (Rom. 8:14). |

The 1998 retreat theme, "The Inner Journey, Part 4," allowed us to expand our topics to encompass a number of interesting mysteries. Speakers presented lectures on possession, a comparison of mystics, synchronicity, the seven seals in Revelation, the UFO phenomenon, millennium prophecy, and love. As the new millennium approaches, the Holy Spirit is revealing secrets to those diligently seeking Yahweh to prepare his sons to live in the next age. |

With the retreat theme, "The Inner Journey, Part 5," each speaker's 1999 lecture stressed that a person's belief system can either limit or expand his consciousness. Two videos, "They Live" and "1984" captured the essence of a society living within restrictive parameters that limited the citizen's world view. Speakers presented lectures on the power of mystics, the institutionalization of a founder's vision when he dies, cultural customs and beliefs on dying, romantic love and sex, prayer, the controllers of the UFO belief system, and the Y2K bug in the third millennium. |

The 2000 retreat theme, "The Inner Journey, Part 6," allowed the speakers to explore world domination on earth. Satan first possessed the angelic creation by imposing his will on them in heaven (Rev. 12:4-8). Mystery Babylon is bringing in the New World Order (NWO) on earth through America's financial systems, military power, and secret societies, such as the Masons. The Satanic influence has advanced from individual possessions to scientific and electronic mind control. Speakers presented lectures on how different cultures talk with God, the Satanic influence on man, NWO, secret societies, the Federal Reserve System, the modern day mind control in America, and an expanded view of consciousness. In 2000, PLIM, INC. obtained 501c(3) federal tax-exempt status and a punch and binding system donated by the Eggelletions. |

The importance of obtaining "keys of knowledge" on physical, psychological, and spiritual levels resounded through "The Inner Journey, Part 7" lectures given at the 2001 retreat. Mystery Babylon has deliberately taken away and suppressed "keys of knowledge" (Luke 11:52), impairing man's journey toward perfection. Lectures were given on numerous topics to restore some of the loss knowledge and connect some of the dots. |
Lectures revealed the plan of evil forces in the world that want to keep Americans unhealthy, sick, and indebted. They covered the benefits of juicing and fasting and the influence of the Federal Reserve System. Other lectures, covering mind control in education, hypnosis, and the psychic powers of human consciousness, showed the psychological repression of knowledge. In addition, lectures were presented on the agenda of secret societies, such as the Council of Foreign Relations, and the influences of occult magic on the practices of Freemasons, Bohemian Grovers, etc.
In 2001, PLIM began to send the PLIM REPORT Magazine to subscribers in a PDF format. PLIM, Inc. purchased editing and video camera equipment (a Pinnacle Systems DC1000DV Real-Time analog editing card and 3/4 recorder/player, GL1 Canon Digital Video Camera, Ultimate Rover Pod, Sennheiser ME-64 and Sennheiser EV-100 Wireless Mike microphones, Bogen/Manfrotto 501Tripod stand). PLIM, Inc. also began to build a bookstore on our website at plim.org through Amazon.com.

The 2002 retreat theme, New World Order, Part 1, captured the change, which took place in the world, the 911 Attack on America, since our last retreat. The fact that the world is now under a death decree was reflected in the topics of population control, the IMF, suppression of alternative cancer therapies, and studies on food cures for diseases. The lectures of “Nazism and the Occult” and the “New World Order Religion” showed the parallel of men uniting the world in wickedness as Nimrod did with the Tower of Babel. The lecture on Consciousness, P. 3 showed that everything in the world is connected because we live, move, and have our being within Yahweh. |
Equipment Purchased
In 2002, PLIM, Inc. upgraded their Xerox copier to 432S, a 32 print-per-minute networked copier/printer featuring four paper trays, two-sided copying/printing, and many other functions to increase productivity. The Browns donated half of the payments ($234/month) on a five-year lease. PLIM, Inc bought $1000 Lowell Light Kit. PLIM, Inc. also made all past issues of the PLIM REPORT available on CD in PDF format and added Thursday public classes first and third Thursday.

The 2003 retreat theme, New World Order, Part 2, revealed the far reaching effects of Mystery Babylon in the world. Affecting the area of health, vaccinations and neurotoxins in food were shown as plagues on man, while water was revealed as a cure for many diseases. Other topics covered were Gnosticism: the mystical religion; world trade, coming US dollars devaluation, and US trade deficits; Nazism and homosexuality; satanic ritual abuse: murder, child sex slavery, lies, and cover up; and consciousness & subtle energy. |
Equipment Purchased
In 2003, PLIM, Inc. purchased several pieces of equipment to make our operation mobile: Dell 5150 lap top computer, Samsung ML2150 printer, and an Epson flatbed scanner. PLIM also purchased two software applications: Photoshop CS and Windows XP Pro.

The 2004 retreat theme, New World Order, Part 3, allowed six speakers to cover three main topics: health (fats that heal and kill and raw foods as a reflect of the life-giving gospel), social engineering (Aquarian Conspiracy and Future Shock), and New World Order religions (Christian and Moslem Zionism and the Merovingian Bloodline). Two new sessions were added to this year’s agenda: a book review on Globalization of Poverty and a special PLIM GoldFinger & SilverFinger Club meeting. |

The 2005 retreat theme, New World Order, Part 4, covered topics in the physical, psychological, and spiritual realms that returned the keys of knowledge to man allowing him to regain his sovereignty and freedom. Lectures on health covered sugar’s affect on the body and the best supplements to use. Lectures on finance ranged from the coming depression to an investment strategy for the future economic collapse. Other topics provided information on martial law, the soul, creativity and positive mental ideas, and the love of Yahweh. |
Due to new ownership, the weekly, free public classes held for 20 years in the Fine Arts Building, 410 So. Michigan Avenue, moved in July 2005 to Harbor Point Tower during the summer and New City YMCA in the fall. In November 2005, class moved to the Hyde Park Co-Op and stayed there a year. In August 2006, class moved to the Hyde Park Neighborhood Club where we currently meet.

The 2006 theme, "Melchisedec Sovereign Stewardship." shows that humans can only experience freedom and individual authority by being servants to laws of Yahweh under the New Covenant, without the interference of governing powers. This was established by the Melchisedec Priesthood which made us free by the blood Yahshua the Messiah (John 8:32). The 2006 PLIM Retreat topics covered three areas of research: health, economics, and aspects of the spirit. See 2006 Topics and Speakers for details. |
To spread the gospel of Yahshua the Messiah, PLIM, Inc. maintains five outreach activities. It is the duty of those who believe the truth to aid in its propagation.
