Recently, articles in the New York Times (10/3/95) by Malcom W. Browne and the journal Nature (9/95) have reported the most current theories on the breakup of the ancient supercontinent. Most geologists theorize that millions of years ago all the continents formed one land mass called "pangea." Now "pangea" is a Greek word that means "all earth."

In the Scientific American January 95 issue Dr. Ian W. D. Dalziel of the University of Texas in Austin, theorizes that the first supercontinent, named Rodinia, went through a series of transformations beginning 750 million years ago that resulted in today's arrangement of the continents. Simple put, there was one continent that gave birth to the present seven continents.

These earth scientists know that the earth's center is a molten core and there are approximately 6 major plates and others, called tectonic plates, that float atop it. These tectonic plates make up what we know as the continents, such as North and South America, and Africa. Malcolm W. Browne points out in his article that all major changes in the earth can be traced to these tectonic plates. "For some 35 years scientists have known that most of the earth's activity - the opening up of the new oceans, the collision of continents and consequent raising of the great mountains chains, the creation of volcanos and islands, the accretion and splitting up of supercontinents, the destruction wrought by earthquakes and many other effects - are traceable to the relentless movement to tectonic plates."

Moses' vision of the creation of the heaven and earth in the book of Genesis does not state how many continents there were or their arrangement when Elohim created the earth and placed Adam and Eve in the garden. Whether it is understanding the creation of the heaven and earth or comprehending the cause of climatic changes like the flood that have occurred, one things is clear, not accepting the operation of Spirit causes much confusion about this creation. Science does not recognize the existence of Spirit nor its operation.

The scriptures show that Spirit can change physical things or materlizing things in an instant, which normally, one would think, should take years to develop. For example, Moses' rod changed into snake immediately. A biologist would have said that the snake emerged from an egg and grew up (Ex. 4:1-2). But it did not. Just a moment before, the snake had actually been a rod.

The Messiah demonstrated repeatedly miracles of transformation by the Holy Spirit making limbs heal in an instant that were previously malformed (Lk. 6:8-10). By the fact, that Spirit can perform these feats, one can see that He can materialize an universe in an instant and not take millions or billions to create. The Apostle Paul said the following about the creating process of Elohim. "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Heb 11:3)."

Now odd as it may sound, the physical body produces its own natural narcotics called endorphins. Janet L. Hopson's article in Psychology Today (July/August 1988) says the following about the role of endorphins in the physical body. " they play a role in almost every human experience from birth to death, including much that is pleasurable, painful and lusty along the way (p. 29)." Now Ms. Hopson's article goes on to say endorphins are involved in "crying, laughing, thrills from music, stress, depression, chili peppers, compulsive gambling, aerobics, trauma, masochism, message, labor and deliver, appetite, immunity, near death experience, playing with pets (p. 29)." Simple put, whatever we psychologically programmed ourselves to give us pleasure or pain, whether it is good or bad, the endorphins is the biochemistry that cause us to feel the way we do. Now one might wonder why narcotics are found in the physical body?

The physical body is a microcosm of the greater universe--the earth and the world--the macrocosm. In short, man is a miniature universe. What this means is that whatever is in found in the earth and the universe is in principle within the physical body. Adepts and sages of most cultures have been known this for ages.

Now in the mind-brain connection, a thought in the mind results in the brain producing these endorphin to materialize these various emotions. Candance Pert states in Bill Moyer's book Healing the Mind (© 1979 Doubleday) she "discovery that the brain makes its own morphine, and that emotional states are created by the releases of the chemicals called endorphins (p. 177)," So endorphins are the bio-neurochemistry coming from a thought, confirms King Solomon saying "So a man thinkest in his heart so is he (Pro. 23:7)."
